The tangent curve

The tangent curve

The tangent as a curve follows. At pi over 4, which is 45 degrees or 50 grads, its value is 1\displaystyle 1. That is why the inverse tangent of 1\displaystyle 1 gave 50 grads. At π2\displaystyle \frac{\pi}{2}, the tangent has no value: the curve breaks there.
