When to replace the battery
The sign that the battery is empty: the display is faint, or stays empty after ON/C in dim light, even after adjusting the contrast. The Battery is one alkaline LR44, or equivalent. Note the Memory: a new battery erases everything in it, so write down what you need first. For Safety, keep batteries away from children and from fire, and do not leave an empty battery inside.
